Saabtoberfest 2007

Saturday October 6, 2007

There’s are lot of great highways and byways off the beaten path here in Northeast PA and this years route will take us over some of the best of them. We’re sure you’ll enjoy the driving experience, the wonderful scenery and the opportunity to meet with friends old and new.

The event will begin as it did last October from Dan Haddle's Eurotech Auto Repairs Inc shop at 131 Wood St. Wilkes-Barre Pa 18701 (570.822.4665).  Registration begins at 8 AM sharp.

Please be sure to arrive with a full tank of gas and a printed copy of the route sheet available as an attachment to this message and on the Saabtoberfest Website..

So get there early, have a cup of coffee and doughnut compliments of Eurotech. There will be a great chance to meet and talk at Dan's Shop!  Departure is 9:45 AM sharp!

Our lunch stop will be in a Weatherly at Eurana Park, a beautiful small town picnic grounds along our way. Arrangements have been made for a box lunch at a very reasonable price to be delivered to our lunch location perfect for enjoying the last glorious days of Fall. Or if you want, bring your own

The second leg of our Saab sojourn will have us end near Hazleton in proximity to Interstates 80 & 81. As in the past many of the folks may want to enjoy the Saab camaraderie, high five one another about how great the twisty bits were over the past few hours, make new friends and enjoy the friends we've made over the years, there are a number of restaurants near the finish to accommodate that.

This year you might want to think about attending Oktoberfest at The Lion Brewery, 700 North Pennsylvania Ave, Wilkes Barre PA.  It will run from 11 AM till 10 PM. Call 570.823.8801 ext 346 for more info. This year the Brewery is expecting more than the 10,000 folks that attended last year. There will be live bands, plenty of food and beverages brewed right on site.
